Christine E. Lee, MD, CPE, CPC, ACC, is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. She is the CEO of Crossroads Coaching & Consulting, as well as a clinical associate professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She has practiced for over 20 years in academic and private practice settings.
Dr. Lee's leadership philosophy is based on integrity, trust, and respect. Her overarching goal is to strive for excellence and success for herself and others around her. With her philosophy background, Dr. Lee develops a strategic perspective to consider many different views and uses collaboration to bring in ideas from other disciplines. Her recent approaches have included Aristotle to Existentialism.
Dr. Lee received the Associate Certified Coach (ACC), designated by International Coach Federation, Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), and COR.E Leadership Dynamic Specialist (CLDS) certifications from the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching.
Dr. Lee also obtained the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) designation through the American Association of Physician Leadership after completing leadership and management courses as well as a rigorous Capstone process.
Dr. Lee is a graduate of the University of Michigan Honors program, where she majored in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Philosophy. She received her MD from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia.
During my medical school years, although I started as a MD-PhD candidate, but I ended up becoming a Howard Hughes Research Scholar and spent a year at NIH doing research.
Dr. Lee is happily married to Michael Lee, MD and they have 3 successful grown children.
